Commuting to work in a 10 second car ! Dyno Flash Evo takes to the streets !

It was a nice sunny day here in the North East and I had a small dyno gathering 30 miles away from my house at Pruven today - time to press the Dyno Flash evo into action

Frankly I have been missing the excitement and adreniline rush of a real fast insane whip and I could not wait any longer to see if my new set up would work as good as the old one

It was fun to be driving a bona fide 10 second car on the road driving to work and taking some evo customers out for test drives on the highway

Not much traction on these winter roads but a real pleasure to know all my winter wrenching produced a very driveable car that started right up and made the trip without breaking

Next up - installing the Buschur Alcohol kit and seeing how much power I can make with alcohol !

So you don't even have the alcohol kit that you sell on your own car?

If he is as busy as he sounds, he probably doesnt get much time to work on his car. Plus being its winter still, some people are being lazy.

I have it sitting on my office floor - I was not planning to run the car till March but we are having a mid winter heat wave.

It will be time to experiment with the alcohol kit soon

Keep in mind that the alcohol kit is really designed for those runing pump gas who want to run race gas tunes

I have yet to see if it helps out much for those already on VP Import at 120 octane

That is what I am testing

Its sad that some people obviously have nothing better to do that hate on others

FYI - here is the exact mileage from my house to Pruven

Total Est. Time: 33 minutes Total Est. Distance: 28.55 miles

Made it there and back like any other normal evo with no problems and had lots of fun ! Only problems are that the car is really too loud at this point and its a matter of time till I get pulled over and get a ticket.

Al no hate here here's a box of kleenex Waaaah waaaah! . I just was curious because I thought your "REAL" employment was about a .5 mile driving distance from your residence. Truth & hate should never be misconstrued. Do you drive this 28.55 miles 5-7 days a week? or is it only for dyno tunes and such? Thanks.

My "real" employment at this time is tuning cars all over the USA so mostly my commuting is to the airport these days so I have an old '96 truck which I park at the airport while I am away.

When I am in town - about 1/2 the time it seems - I am at Pruven several times a week

My Evo stays parked in the garage 99.99% of the time these days becuase I am doing modifications to it almost on a constant basis

It was just nice to be able to take the evo out on a sunny day after R & R'ing the head with the new cam journal bearing insert which my machine shop fabed up for me and then being able to spin it to 10,000 rpms several times and have it all stick together and work perfectly

Like I said before - my plans this week will include the install of the alcohol injection kit and a return to the dyno

After I re-trq the head

I am headed to Phoenix for a weekend of tuning on Friday and I have dyno appointments during the week this week so I am not sure when I will get to it
