Different strokes for different folks when it comes to tuning. I've heard from different people who like one or the other. I for one would rather have a dyno tune so that I can see whats going on with A/F and timing. Oh yeah, and of course for my ego, but street tunes are just as good from what I've heard. I'm still a novice when it comes to all this stuff though so don't listen to me or take my word for it.

Also, while I'm curious to know my BHP, it's not worth paying the extra money (over and beyond the cost of the tune) for me to get it dyno tested. Other than the custom flash, I intend to keep my evo stock anyway.

A few thoughts on Dyno vs. No Dyno
First and most importantly. . . you dont drive your car on the dyno. I have yet to see the dyno which loads the car exactly like the road. Its impossible to duplicate the air flow, wind resisitance and actual load of real driving on a road or track.
Sure you can come close and you can appoximate the street with a good dyno. After a LOT of practice with a particular INDIVIDUAL dyno you can learn how to work the car coolant temps and boost so you can come reasonably close to a real street pull. However, I found in my frequent travels that it gets very hard when using a strange dyno in a stange shop to conduct an accurate tune. In many cases I found myself doing the acutral tuning on the street and then straping the car to the dyno to do a few pulls at the end.
What I cant stand is rushing a car and doing a half assed job and usually most dyno shops charge X amount an hour.
In this case - I am giving you guys a full 2.25 hours per guy which would probably equal over 30 tuning pulls per car. Simply put it would probably double the price to conduct a 2,25 dyno tuning session.
What may be feasable is to tune the cars on the road first and then put it on the dyno to see what the numbers are. I can feel what the numbers are also just by the way the car drives.
I have seen cars which have come off a dyno tuning session which ran too lean and pulled timing when driven on a road.
Just some food for thought

BTW - could you please add in one time slot on Friday night from 8:30 p.m. to 10:45 p.m. - and
one slot on Sunday AM from 10:30 a.m. - 12:45 p.m
I think That is all I can do on this trip
Again - no base flashes of any kind will be offered on this trip - custom tuning only
Thanks and looking forward to giving you guys some very excelent service.
Finally - would everyone please post a complete list of mods and also indicate inteneded driving use for car - thanks
Mods: None (and, other than the custom flash, I do not plan on any future mods)
Intended Driving Use:
90%: daily-driver-type driving, some of which includes monthly highway roadtrips.
10%: like Steve Mcqueen in Bullitt!!!
(But, I don't race it.)
