I will be driving in from Houston. Where is the meeting location?

 

i hope you guys realize that everybody on the list is coming from Austin, San Antonio, and Houston.

Nobody on that list is from Dallas. I just find it strange that we are meeting up in Dallas. It might be a good idea to change the meeting location to Austin or San Antonio.

I just bought my plane ticket yesterday also !

When I get back from Tucson I will look into other options on the plane for a change - BUT - it was super costly already and this is Memorial day weekend and many flights were booked solid so I think I will have hard times to make changes

I will advizse you guys

For know we stick with Smoothie King and Dallas

If you move it to Austin I'll definitely get a tune, maybe get both my Evo's tuned if I can get a discount ;-). Might also have 1-2 more folks as well. Much closer than Dallas for SA and Houston peeps.

Also, I can probably host one of the tune days if its in Austin. I live just outside of Austin in the hill country. Got a fully equipped garage, plenty of parking, a pool to cool off in, and live 5 minutes away from some of the best roads in TX. I'll grill out for lunch. We can race the Nurburgring in high-def on my HT setup too (GT4). If this is a possibility let me know and I'll double check with the wife (an Evo driver as well, so she'd probably love the idea).

I'm definitely in if it's in Austin. I need to get an intake, MBC and DynoFlash first.

 

Yeah, if Al can make it I'd have to consider getting a Buschur intake, 3" dp, and high flow cat as well. That'd put me at a full BR stage one on a 2005, which would be nice power for a mostly stock Evo!

I might leave the MBC off if Al comes, and just get one of his boost controlling flashes.

Hey Al.... looks like theres more than enough interest to extend another day and relocate to Austin. That should more than pay for any ticket change fee!

Comming to Austin or other suitable location is something I would consider - HOWEVER - being a holiday weekend it may present some difficulties in arranging later or alternative flights

My main concern is the gentleman who organized this event and who has the first appointment on Saturday am who has wedding plans to work around

I suggest we preculate this idea over the next day or two while I look at the chance of postponing my return flight and look at some maps of the area

Al--I urge you to please continue to do it in Dallas. First off, from what I understand "John" lives in Dallas. And, While my profile lists me as living in Austin, I do not in fact live there right now (I was just going to school at UT). I live in Dallas right now. Furthermore, as Al mentioned, I am "in" a wedding on Satuday afternoon in Dallas, and if the flash was held in any other city I would be unable to attend. (Thanks Al for lending my particular situation some weight in your decision--I appreciate your courtesy in that you mentioned my wedding obligation in your email. )

That being said, I understand the practical implications of what you guys are saying. But, the notion that EVERYONE on the list lives outside Dallas is just not correct. If you guys would reconsider coming to Dallas, I'd really appreciate it....morning beers on me!

 

Ok this seals it for me and also the fact that the planes are all just totally over booked for this weekend so arrangeing alternatives would be very difficult and costly.

Therefore - I sugest that we stick with the plan the way we have it set up now.
