So I just sign up here and send in a deposit? I have an SAFC waiting to be put into my car... should I get the flash first and then put in the SAFC? Or will this actually just make the SAFC useless? =o

Edit: My mods are a Boost controller and full exhaust. I have a K&N cone intake sitting in my garage but I took it out. Should I get a custom flash with this stuff? Should I put in the intake again if I have the custom? Thanks.

Al,
I am looking to get a mail-in flash while you are in Chicago and would like to know what steps I should take to do so. Do you require a deposit? Is it necessary for me to send you a mod list prior to the weekend of the trip? When is a good time to come? I would PM you rather than "cluttering up your thread", but I figured other people may be interested in this same information. Thank you,

Paul

Once you get tuned you won't really have any use for the SAFC. People will sometimes use an AFC on top of flash when they go to the track to lean out their topend when running race fuel. I personally don't think you will see much difference w/ the AFC on top of the flash. Just turn up the boost w/ the race gas and you will get a simlar effect.

Can an intake be used with the flash so that the MAF doesnt pull timing? If so I might want to get the flash. The problem is I already have an SAFC and a custom tune with my minimal mods really is just to lean out the fuel right?

should I pay to get the custom tune or just get the SAFC in my car...

I could use some help deciding .
Would the results be similiar either way with my minimal mods of DP, Cat delete, catback and boost controller? I guess thats what i'm really trying to get at.

Thanks

One the flash is set to match your intake it functions perfectly - no need to use safc what so ever

The flash has many more tunable parameters than the safc and IMHO runs 100% better

Are you removing the 8:30 to 10:30? Also, when is the last time you'll be able to check the thread (IE, when is the last time I can sign up?)

Thanks
Robb

No I just tought that my Check engine light would go away, but if it does not go away then it's ok. Let me ask you. Is it normal for my exhaust to shoot out flames? I took the car to about 165 mph and then I went back to 75 mph and just cruised. My buddy told me that there was a flame about 1-2 feet long out from my exhaust. Is that ok? is it normal?
