Al,

What exactly do you do for your 2 hr custom tune? I'm in the process of getting cams and would like to know if there really is a difference between the custom tune or just getting the correct mail in flash that will work with a set of 272's.

The custom tune involves hooking up scan tools and wide band to measure how the base map works on the INDIVIDUAL car - make fine adjustments and smooth out any rough spots in the power band. When its done properly you get a very ultra smooth and factory like feel with the tune as well as a boat load of tq and a wide power band.

The base maps are very very good at this point with over 2 years experience on them. However, for the extra couple of hundred its usually a good idea to have it checked and fine tuned. In many cases I can also spot other mechanical problems the car mnay be having at the same time.

Once you have the ecutek original fee paid - updates are much cheaper - half of the original fee goes to ecutek as a licsense fee
