Two friends of mine complained about their HKS air filter being very pourous. the problem is not the flow but how dirty is gets so fast here in the desert(Tucson , AZ)

I personally use a K&N cone filter which is made by Agency Power, by the way, I also have the Dynoflash and it works great.

As far is temp on the intake, I wouldn't worry too much because even if you get a "coold air intake" think about the fact that the air is going to be heat up once it passes the turbo, then is going to cool down on the intercooler to finally heat up again through tyhe upper pipe and engine bay.

use the K&N drop-in filter, if your running in hot climate, the intakes will take in the hot air from the engine, however if you have the drop in it will take in cooler air

The heat is not the issue - the issue is in desert and sandy places the hks does not filter enough

I recomend the Buschur intakes 100% - cheap and powerful = good combo

i have been racing dirtbikes quads for years i am definatly not a fan of foam filters, i ve seen how quicklyothers have went through motors with them. A K&N filter is the way to go

Look into the APS intake.

SCC recently answered an email asking about cold air intake's on turbo cars and they proved, with math, that cold air intakes are MORE important on turbo car's than on normally aspirated cars.
