Will we keep it in the same general area? I'm drivin from Chas SC and would rather not add an extra 2 hours to the drive.

It's still got to be on the agreed Oct 22 weekend to work for me.

Thanks

Bruce tell the Dyno guy that we will not need his services. KTT, no one has answered my PM's.

Al, we have a major highway (Interstate 85) that has a pretty high speed limit. How fast do we need to take the cars up to while tuning with the road tune?

Joe: About 7000 RPM in 3rd gear for most tuning. Thats approximately 80 to 85 mph. That is about 10 to 15 mph over the posted speed limit on 85. But with the good brakes on the Evo, you should be back down to posted speed limit in less than a second.

Finally testing may go a little higher, but thats on one or two runs at the end of the custom tune.

Does Bruce make 5 when he sends his deposit today?

Brian

Well I do 90-100 mph on 85 all the time so I'm not too worried. Just curious really.

As far as Bruce's deposit I'm not too sure.

Exactly correct

When I am tuning the main problem I get is from parking on the side of the roads and from driving too SLOW !

If we are not going to use the Dyno I would recommend Concord Mills just a little north of Charlotte.

Hwy 29 near UNC Charlotte (my old school) may resolve that problem (plently of room to pull of the side of the road and 85mph is not uncommon there). It's a stone throw from Concord Mills... Locals can point Al in the right direction.

Hey Al-

When will you be doing the ECU Bench Tunes (should this party go through). Do I need to be there first thing in the morning - the afternoon. I will be riding with member KTT - who is getting a Custom Road Tune (maybe I can get flashed just before his road tune?). Lemme know. Thanks in advance...

Stevdalpiaz-

3 deposits, 3 to go... Maybe 4 if the MD tune fails on the other regional thread. Maybe 5 guys will be enough if they split the cost of the missing 6th person 5 ways (Lets see $300/5= $60 - still a savings of $39 where Al's normal price is $399)... Just a thought, that is if Al's ok with this idea

the dyno is way more safer than running down the highway from 45 to 85mph, just my 2cents, but were ever you wont to do it is fine with me. i will have preston send in his deposit for the custom tune.
