Get Al back to NC
Wow, Oct 22 is finally almost here - been driving around for the past 6 weeks with untuned fuel pump and cams, strangly, it seems to run nice now.
Anyhow, Al, if you got time to tell me, how much money do I still owe you for the street tune (I am a 2 time mail-in flash customer)? PM if you feel if it's unappropiate to state it here.
I'll just pay you the rest when I get there.

One question: Are we all meeting Al together at a specific time? or do we just show up a half an hour or so before our tune is scheduled?
Never done this before and wanted to ensure that I am clear on the protocol of the way these things are supposed to work.

Just show up a few minutes before your apointment and meet somewere in the hotel parking lot or front entrance
SUPER important - dont rev your motor - do burn outs or let your car idle on a turbo timer in the hotel area
So long as we are civilized everything is cool

No problem Al, you got it.
Anyway I don't think an AWD EVO would be the appropriate vehicle of choice to be doing bunrouts with - hehe. Although, when I was at NOPI NATIONALS there was a few "idoits" that thought it was. Nothing like defication of design in there minds.
See you tomorrow!!!!!!

Questina il' stupido (stupid question):
Would I be able to easily beat a stock or slightly modded (no pulley upgrade) 30/04 Cobra after my Custom Tune with just cams, mbc, hks rs, fuel pump, no cat, and dp. By how much will I win or lose?

Thanks again Al, It was a real pleasure to meet you and good luck at any upcoming events...
Oh yea, IT RUNS GREAT!!!
Jeremy
I am liking the base flash on my otherwise stock 03. I have the same feeling I had when I first got the car. I could definatly feel the difference.
It could have just been me, but I felt better throttle response afterward. Kinda like you were hesitant to push the gas a millimeter more because it would just take off and never stop.
Great mod for the money. I know some people who paid $4000 for a supercharger that only got them 30-40 HP.
Thanks Al.

whoa and and it had to be the loudest car to get pulled right in front of the hotel but al is def. and smooth talker to the cops, sure hope they didnt think anything about all the wires everywhere in the car and coming out of the exhaust. was a good night for tunning though, with no rain. and al thanks the car builds boost way faster down lower in the rpms.
TUNED AND READY TO GO!
Was well worth the 450 mile round trip. Next time I swear I'll have Al come down here to Charleston. All I need now is a catback, 6.5 TME, and a sause inj kit and I'll be good to go - I love my car.
My adventures almost ended in disaster before I even got to the tuning site. I decided to top off the oil with several onces before I left for the 3.5 hour drive and forgot to reinstal the oil cap. After 2 hrs of driving I stopped at a gas station and noticed oil splattered throughout my once tidy engine bay. Good thing I left early enough to be able to clean the mess up. It was down just 1 quart so I lucked out big time.
Thank God I was able to make the tune and now my car is now much faster and also have a piece of mind at WOT knowing that my engine will remain safe healthy from the tune.
Thanks to Al and DynoFlash
