Get Al back to NC
Results speak for themselves, here is a real time study I have done over the past year to monitor results from the mods I have chose on my 04 VIII:
The average times of 6 consecutive 3rd gear pulls using 93 octane:
The average times of 6 consecutive 3rd gear pulls using 93 octane:
- Stock:____________________3.29 sec
- MBC/mail-in flash:__________3.10 sec
- Cat delete:________________2.83 sec (interesting)
- Down pipe:________________no sig improvement
- HKS RS intake:_____________no sig improvement
- Cams, FP without tune______no sig improvement (strange thing here is it felt so much faster by the butt, but the stopwatch kept indicating the same time as before)
- Cams, FP, custom tune______2.62 sec! (stopwatch kept reading low thought it was broke)

Now I need a catback to free up the constipated exhaust.
Bottom line to faster car is the area underneath the g force curve plotted against rpm.
It was so smooth I didn't realize it till I looked at the stopwatch and wow

I have seen many cases where people thought the post tuned cars where slower as they do feel turbine smooth
The new G meter I am using is so accurate it can pick up a fart when the car is sitting !

Those guys with CAMS
Sometimes the idle flash technology we use will interfear with the 0300 drive cycle OBD-II testing and throw a 0300 code
I'd say the occurence rate os about 15% on cars with the original MN132874 ecu program
You have 3 options if this is the case on your car
1 - Live with it - ignore it and or rest the battery when it happens
2 - Send it back and I will re-install your same custom tune minus the idle flash feature
3 - Go to a
dealership - have the 0-300 code update flash 132-874_2 installed - send me back the ecu to reinstall the entire program with the idle flash part - should be fine The problem is that the stock ecu has a defect in its CARB compliance for 0300 code function and this weakness is exasberated with the cams and idel flash combined in some cases. There are even stock cars out there that throw 0300 codes.

Thanks for the business !
On a seperate note - I really liked Charlotte
It is a great place and it appealed to me as a great place to live
I want to come back soon and spend more time looking about as I really fell in love with that location
The oddest part was watching all the hardwear flying over head into the small air port near the track. There must be some very rich people in that area as I have never seen so many pricey turbo props and jets flying in one place.

Al I'm pretty sure it is the 0300 code as the CEL only comes on after the car has idled for sometime without moving. I'm going to have the code pulled if the light comes back on again.
If it is the code I'll wait until you comeback down this way again and have you just fix it then. I can live with it for now.
Oh, Al I found out that you saved me $150 by letting me use your Hampton Inn VIP card. Thanks again
Edit: I had the code checked and it is the catalyst efficiency code. Looks like I'm going to need to do some "doctoring up" on my rear O2 sensor.

Don't you have the UR 3" high flow cat? Not supposed to give a cel IIRC from their web page...
You can always do the "anti-fouler" CEL fix. KTT and I have one lying around. Or do a search for anti fouler (in the how to section) for parts and instructions...
