Dyno Flash V2 data logging - field report
Tonight I was able to deploy the newest Dyno Flash technology, the factory ecu data logging system which records directly off all the factory sensors and logs the relevant parameters
The results are amazing. My product has been brought up a notch and one again been the spear head of a totally new tuning revolution.
A few specific observatations about some of the new features
1 - Knock Sensor I have been using the factoty knock sesnor with the AEM as a crucuial tuning tool for 2 years now on my race car. Thehrilled knock sensor has become crucial to my tuning - its my ears inside the motor. I am thrilled that I have been able to accurately log the factory sensor without have to cut any wires or make any permenent modification to the car. My equipment plugs and unplugs from the engine harness - it goes in and out without a trace.
2 - Boost - having a labratory boost map sesnor to record and log the boost is of great help in determining how accurate a customer's mechanical boost gauge may be. I have learned that nmot cheap gagues are very inaccurate.
3 - A/f against rpms - this is the key tuning data which is curcial to getting the tune perfect
tuning - this data system gives the customer a 100% accurate, black and white view of exactly hos the car was tuned.
The final tune is driven on a long 3rd gear pass - on a public road - and the data shows if the tune was completed properly. The customer gets a CD which has recorded all of hi tuining passes on a disk to review.
I am super excited about this new technology - it really is yet anothert new begining

Sounds like a great leap forward and I would def. LOVE to know all of those parameters on my tune. That said, do you ever think you will come out w/ a multiple map setup and a "switch" of sorts to swap between them?? For instance, a pump gas map and a race gas map.
Al did this on my car and it was great.
Got to see the AFR while in the car and the resulting graph / data immediately. Right after getting off the road.
No knock and great AFR through the whole RPM range. Everything was very precise.

IF I can give myself 2 or 3 months head start on this before my compeditors start to copy me (as usual) that will give me enough time to perfect this system so that I will continue to be always one step ahead.
I hope you understand my need to keep the details secret for now

I just cant wait to get back to Pruven for a couple installs and another custom tune that will hopefully put me at 400whp or close to it...
