Very impressive times and speeds! Great job, I know you can get into the 11s w/o any further mods, please keep us posted.

For those nogstalgia buffs - back then RMR, Works and myself were the only guys offering reflashes for evos. I was the only one offering a custom tune option - at the time it was a novel concept.

originally I was so scared of frying ecus after being scraed stiff by the folks who trained me that i insisted on doing all flashes inside a hotel room with a dedicated power supply

I would drive the car down the road - aquire the data and then retreat to the hotel room to make any changes

At the time - I had spent about 100 smog filled hours on the Pruven dyno doing beta testing and tuning the masses of evos comming by for tunes and my lungs were so conjested I could bearly inhale. That weekend I made the mistake to roll over a hot o2 sesnor I had just taken off a car and burned a nice hole in my spare tire.

I am really proud to look back to those days and see all the progress that i have made in how I tune and the progression of my understanding of the stock ecu. I wish I could go back to that weekend and re-tune everyone with my new data logging system and the experience of having tuned another several hunderd custom tunes!

The best part abot my business is today I am just as excited and interested in this as I was over 2 years ago. Every day I am learning new things and continuing to improve the product.

Its a great thing that the current flash at $199.99 can make the kind of results that were made here - even at the hands of an amazing driver it says a lot about the performance and value of the product.

Oh, I remember that. I got my car dyno tued by Al waaaaay back in October 2003 at Pruven. I should get a cookie or something

It's funny how these threads sometimes take different directions though... Anyway, you asked and that's why I explained things with perhaps more detail than anybody expected

Peace out.
Just as a follow up - I wanted you to know that there is a SECOND gentleman who is nearly as fast as Wartatlon with similar mods on his car and a Dyno Flash'd ecu on a 2005 Evo

In this case we have a video

http://dragnracing.com/images/Trevor....07@111mph.wmv

And a Time slip

http://dragnracing.com/images/Trevor....07@111mph.JPG

He is known as dragnracing on these forms a/k/a Trevor

This member also has similar mods

Buschur Race chip/K&N/MBC/Dynoflash/Exedy Twin/3" Buschur cat back with stock cat

AND A STOCK CAT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!

So we can see that the result of warrtallon while exceptional is not a fluke but rarther expected with good driving

I don't think it is fair that you come on here and question the results that have been obtained with the current product - especially when tuning your particular car was hampered at the time by very weak fuel

Certainly with two documented cases of evos approaching a 11 second pass with my reflash there is not much else that can be done to veify these claims

I just saw this thread. sorry for the bump

if you feel warrtalons driving is so much better than yours, I'd be really intrested in seeing if you wouldn't mind letting him drive your car and see how well he can do

Heh. Al has tossed this idea around a few time in jest. I would love to have a shot at it, but I really am not sure if a car with that much HP can be driven the same way I drive mine. I might break everything in the drivetrain.

I think warrtalon would be scared to drive that thing, it would obviously take so getting used to going 30+mph faster down the track.

I don't think I'd be "scared" per se, but it definitely would take some getting used to. I'd certainly be apprehensive/nervous, though.

I can't wait to go next spring and try at a better track. Best I could do was 13.000 and that was the fastest car on street tires there that day. I spun through first and second trying to get better than a 2.0 60' there were chipped and pullied cobra's there, that lost to me only cars to break 13.00 on slicks were trailered in. Track really sucked. we are planning a trip to a better track this spring.
