Also, drag racing is much, MUCH more than a show of power. I accomplish much more with much less power, and that's due to skill. Same thing on the road course...power is an enabler, but it's useless without skill. The Z06, Lotus Elise, Shelby Cobra replica, and S/C Cobra all learned that the hard way when I did my first-ever road racing event - owned them like little bltches, haha.
Haha Tru Tru! ... Let us know how you place in auto-x next season compared to others in your class in the motorsport section ... GL my friend

There is a whole lot of skill in shifting fast and Warrtalon is one of the fastest shifters I have seen - its a natural talent you can not learn. Practice can improve any driver but few are wired with the lightning relexes to drive that fast.

Sure thing! Here's a few examples from this year, which was my first season of autocrossing - stock suspension, but I had some basic R-comps for half the races:

Wow, I had only 0.378g with cams. Must be due to one or all of the following:
  1. Stock catback
  2. 9.8 Hotside
  3. 80 degrees
  4. No safc
  5. My car's just plain slow
  6. Warrtalon's not only can launch/shift good but one of the luckier people with a fast Evo from the start
Would you be able to post his (g)/RPM/Turbo chart?

Nice I'm going to have to get this on my next tune.

I'm sure this has been covered but how exactly do you "activate" this?

I have a hell of a time staying staged at the local track. It seems the car likes to roll once I'm staged so I end up tapping the brake right before the lights drop.

I'm thinking something like this could help me keep the rpm's up at the light.. although I probably wouldn't use it very much until I have the tranny rebuilt.

Sorry to hijack your thread -- can't wait to see some results after the weather warms up

Oh, he knows, he was kidding, too. We all know each other as part of the DcEvoClub. What's funny is the guy who asked above (Plt Daddy) is the guy who we're talking about (2nd place behind me). That's why I said he sux, haha. We battle it out at every event.

Hey, justchil, you activate it by just sitting still with the clutch depressed and revving to 6k. It's exactly the same as the built-in 5k limiter on the 05s, which is cool, because I already know how to use that. Another cool thing is it only works with the 5k limiter switched connected, so I don't have to disconnect the damn thing anymore...or, if 6k doesn't work on a particular day due to track/tire/power conditions, then I can disconnect the switch and launch without the stutterbox.

I love the 2-step and can't wait to use it!
Good to hear You gotta stick around here

I think the IX is a great car, i wouldn't sell my car for it, but i'll take the turbo as well since it makes so much friggin power

Damn I know Jose as well. You should start tagging along and coming south to join our autox's. I'm just finally getting consistent with going in my evo -- next up ditch the bald advans for R comps.
