I'll be sure to get some vids next time the tracks open. I'm curious to see what it looks/sounds like from the outside perspective.

On a separate note, answer that last PM from me. I could get a money order tomorrow and buy those parts right away. I'm ready to get the ball rolling right now, since I know I'll be keeping the VIII.

Hah, nah, that's way too far. Jose is already way down south, but I'm up much further North, so I was fine with going to Manassas and Frederick every other week for autocrosses. We had events often enough that I didn't need more events, but Jose always had good things to say about those events at VMP...much longer courses than we get in our small lots.

Another cool thing is it only works with the 5k limiter switched connected, so I don't have to disconnect the damn thing anymore...or, if 6k doesn't work on a particular day due to track/tire/power conditions, then I can disconnect the switch and launch without the stutterbox.

Sounds good man.. I've got an 03 so I'm not familiar with the 5k limiter. I'm sure I can figure it out pretty quick

Oh yeah just paid for my e9 20g today.. should be here soon! Just thought I'd rub it in

Welcome to the darkside! AEM 2-step is the shiznit. I will have to get my stock ECU flashed for all my mods with the 2-step so I can pass emissions this upcoming year.

So on my '03 that doesn't have that already, it won't work? I need to meet up with you sometime and check it out.

It does work on 03/04s, but I don't know if you guys have that switch or not. I'm not exactly clear on how the entire system works between 03/04s and 05s, but I haven't seen Al say that the launch control is limited only to 05s...

I got it on my car on Saturday, and I have an 03. You just hold in the clutch and floor it and it will hit right around 6000 RPM's

Clayton,
Too bad you're not staying around longer...I'd love the chance to run Summit Point/VIR with you The Audi Club has the best track events T2 rules are pretty restrictive so I'd be spotting you plenty of HP....unless I brought the ITE GVR4 Randy Pobst taught me some tricks the last time I was at VIR...that's really the best way to break in an Evo

can you also flat shift with this option? in between shifts, keep the gas pedal down, basically keep the boost going and the engine reving again at 6050?

Hey Warrtalon,

What class are you running in autox sm?

Just curious are you doing 6k launches when you autox? I bet it gets peoples attention if you are.

What clutch are you running?

Glad to hear others are interested in doing more than just dragging. Nothing wrong with that but turning is cool too...

the two step works on all 2003 - 2006 Evo 8 and IX

It does incorporate a no lift shift function - (however - using a no lift shift feature is hard on your turbo so its not something you want to do every day of the week)
