Im thinking I should only shift to about 7300 now that I see my power drops pretty hard after that.... like 20whp at 7500, compared to 7300

Many people do not appreciate how inaccurate 90% of the mechanical boost gauges on the market are - particularly the defi brand

I have found good success with Stewart Warner

PS - Once you have a accurate boost gauge in there I would not go over 22 psi even on pump gas that is plenty of boost on the street
UPDATE GUYS!!

AL was right on wth that statement. I installed the Stewart Warner gauge today, went out for a test run and did a 3rd gear pull.... right to 21psi. I was shocked. The Defi just 15m before read 23psi. So I was not running 24-25psi! Boost when dynoed was around 22-23max. Just to clear things up! So dont go trying to run 24-25psi haha, unless I guess you have a stupid Defi-D.

Hey Al have you ever heard of an EBC reaing inaccurately. When you tuned my IX in Cali I noticed that I would hit a max boost of 22.7psi so I used my other setting and lower boost to 21.5psi.
