Beer Can test - which 3" exhausts are really 3" ??
I wouldn't be tossing any HKS stuff out the window - puckadog always netted 10whp/20tq more than other '03s with similar/same mods with his HKS (2.5") DP
This was the ocassion 2 or 3 times with a dozen or so cars.
Let's say his car was more powerful stock - then it really was significantly stronger being that the DP robbed his car of power vs. other 3" systems
I think Bernoulli rolled a few times

after i saw this thread i had to modify my HKS Carbon-TI to 3" all the way through. The restriction is in the end only. It can be removed by grinding away the three welds that hold it in and pulled out with a slide hammer. It was a huge PITA. about 2-3 hours with removeing and reassemble. The sound is almost the same no change at idle and very little at wide open, not really louder just sounds different. I have pics that i can email if some one wants to host them. thanks.
I will keep my HKS until something happens to it. I like the HKS, and from what it sounds like it doesn't effect too much.....a little...but not too much. However, when I change it, I am going for the Helix. I love the Helix sound...and it's 3".
Borla passes, but with an asterisk. The can fits with room to spare until it gets to the core - the core has 4 separate short (5" in length), perforated pipes in the core, contained within the original diameter pipe. Using a flash light, I can see beyond them and the diameter is the same going back as the tip side.
