Guys - after a recent debate about exhausts I have taken it upon myself to compile a list of which exhausts are near or close to a real 3" through the muffler

I have found that many exhuasts that my customers think are 3" are actually LESS that 2.5 " inside the muffler

I devised a simple gauge to test - a beer can

Those mufflers that can fit a beer can inside the tip to the core of the muffler pass - those than can not fail


Excelent - loads of room - OVER 3" inside muffler

i have the hks carbon ti muffler with the rnr 3" piping. does that mean at the tip of the rnr 3" pipng the hks carbon ti muffler drops to less than 3" and opens back up to the 4" tip?

AVO = Not good at all - a tiny hole inisde a giant tip - beer can can not fit

 

Obviously this avo is on race gas !
