OK, so still no word on why this recommended setup is having problems with Boost Spike and running Lean at high RPMs.....
Al, how hard is it for you to make the flash a bit richer at the top end? What / why did you design it this way? Can you please look at you base setup and adjust?
For all other IX's that are using the Forge MBC and base flash, are you getting a weird spike, drop, and then bigger spike? (See boost curve.)
Clay, do you have a list of the folks that had flashes at TSF? Could we see if anyone has taken their car to the dyno [post flash] and checked results? It appears the flash / setup has not been perfected for the IX

Chris, this is not normal. No one else has re-dyno'd yet, and none of the other cars around the country with this same base flash have that issue. The boost thing has NOTHING to do with the flash - that part is baffling me. As for the AFRs, I have no idea how Curry's normally reads. With the tailpipe sniffer, it usually reads leaner than actual, so if you went out with a wideband o2 and tested it, the AFRs would be lower across the board. I know you're getting frustrated, but it is not right to say that this flash has not been perfected. On the other cars with the same mods, it was perfect, which is why that particular flash file was used.

I know of one 9 that dyno'd 285/267 with a full 3" exhaust and after the custom tune and mbc it dyno'd 314/301 on the same dyno. It spools up fast and is smooth as hell. It picked up 29 whp and 34 lbs of tq. This car is a beast.
Damn you, Mo, you need to post that stuff up on DcEvo for us. Did he just do it recently or what? Post the runfiles if you can. Instead of emailing them to me everytime, just zip them and add as an attachment on here or on DcEvo. So, he gained 29whp/34wtq with the custom tune and MBC. That's also what you were putting down with cams and C16, right? Except you obviously weren't running quite right - too much octane, heh. Did you also redyno after your base flash by chance?

In the case of a particular car (such as yours) the tune may require some minor adjustment to perfect it. This is why custom tuning is always preferred. In 95% of cases - base flashes yield amazing results, and in those cases where variations occur - I have seen that most of the time a unrelated mechanical problem is the root issue.
Base flashes are approximations which usually work very well - it is my job to find the ideal balance between power and saftey and get a good result without testing the car afterwards. In most cases - the results are excelent.
Those who have seen me custom tune a evo realize how much car to car variation is present and how much better a car can run with custom tuning. A base flash represents a value priced product which works very well but is not perfect in many cases - better than stock but not "ideal"
In your case your car is making great power but is having a boost issue. I have suggested several times that you log the timing and report back to me yetyou just keep reposting over and over. I cant help you if you dont follow my suggestions.
In a case like yours in order to determine the root of the problem I would have to have the car to go over the data and determine what if anything on the tuning side needs adjustment on your particular car
I have two alternative remedies for your situation
A - return the ecu to get it flashed back to stock witha full refund
B - come to my shop and I will adjust it for free

NO ONE told you to run 22 psi of boost on pump gas with a stock cat
Your car is no dount knocking as you have a stock exhuast and loads of back pressure
I RECOMEND 20 psi MAX BOOST on your flash
Turn DOWN the boost to 19 psi and see what happens
Get your timing logged - try using PM to communicate with me or calling me
