Case Study # 147 - Member MistirEvo04 - 360 TQ - 345 Whp with minimal mods

Today has been a record dyno marathon here at Pruven

We has a evo with a bad Walbro pump and a bad MBC which took me a total of 8 long hours to tune

Then we have this member with a 2004 Evo which has some serious problems with loose hose couplings which had some boost leaks and the fmic pipes poping off which had to be fixed - anyway - its now 1:45 AM and I have one more car which has been here for 13 hours still waiting and I wont give up !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Here is a shocking tune to me - on pump gas - still stock fmic and 9.8 hotside

Injen FMIC
HKS 272 Cams
Aps 3" exhuast
Walbro pump
Hallman MBC
JDM BOV
Boost spike at 22.5 psi

Custom Dyno Flash tune

Sorry about the wrong member name, it is MisterEVO04.. At that point I was shot!

Al did a GREAT Job, I would recommend ANYONE/ EVERYONE with an EVO to get a flash !!!!Absolutely amazed with the outcome.. Also I have to thank Pruven Performance for their help along the way!!! Both Al and Pruven are on the money!!! Keep it up!

I dont get it,in your other tread,a similar evo(mods)+10.5 hotside 339hp and 351wt and this one 9.8=345hp 260wt? I'm trying to decide if i should get the hotside before you come to denver,i guess i'll just get a zex nitrous kit, what do you think?it seems you can make good power out of the 9.8?

Every car is different. It is silly to try and compare one car to another as even stock 100% we have seen a variation of 40 whp between the evos on our dyno.

The only way to compare a mod in particular is to look at 20 or 30 evos as a group

OR - test ot on the dyno on the same car same day

10.5 hot side will make power on any evo ocver the 9.8
