well i just moved to greenvile nc, and i would be interested in a tune i was gonna mail in my ecu but would rather do it this way. couple of questions.
1. how much is this gonna cost me.
2. where is it going to be held at.
3. is it worth while for me to do it considering my mods, (the car has never been flashed before)
let me know if there is anything that you suggest to do before getting it tuned.

mods listed below

3 inch turbo back no cat
10.5 hotside
injen intake and upper intercooler pipe
fuel pump
mbc
act 2600 clutch
forge bov
boost and a/f gauge
ngk bpr7 plugs
i have a front mount for it but i dont know if i should use it, its not made for the evo but it is a $1000 apexi skyline core that measures 24+12+3 with 3 inch inlet and outlet.

thanks in advance
devin

1) $375 like always
2) Wherever it's decided to be held - no way to know that now
3) A custom tune is worth it for far less mods than you have

Do not use that FMIC - sell it if you can.

You're not missing any mods for stage 1, but there also is no ACT 2600. Their weakest pressure plate for the Evo is 2900lb.

Even though you have a base flash a custom flash will probably still be the same price that Clay said above, $375. I have a custom tune already and i want another, i'm guessing the price will be the same as that also, $375, but correct me if i'm wrong on that Clay or Al.

Got a quick question for you Clay. Right now i'm reading the sports car magazine and i was wondering what are those two silver circles for in your 2 smaller air dams on your front bumper? Sorry if that was answerd already in another thread and i didn't see it.

yeah i meant 2900, anyway why do you say not to use the intercooler, i ran the same one on my 650awhp talon and on my girlfriends 320awhp 2g eclipse, i never had anyproblems with it. its not some cheap ebay crap its a bar and plate and its super efficient. anyway is there any other suggestions to do before getting it flashed.
thanks devin

Gives you everything you need to know before getting your car flashed. Clay wasn't saying that the intercooler is crap, its a very good intercooler, i had it in my 400whp 97 GSX, its just you might have to modify too much to get that intercooler to work. For example, front bumper, intercooler piping, crash bar, and maybe some other stuff. There are many other direct fit FMIC upgrades you can get that work just as well for much cheaper.

Yeah, not saying it's a bad FMIC just that you don't have mods to warrant upgrading the turbo. If it's already in your possession, and it can be made to fit perfectly, then consider it. Otherwise, consider selling it for more mod money.

Guys, a custom flash for any existing customer is only $300. $375 is for new VIII customers, and $400 is for new IX customers.

06MREvo, those circles are the inlets for my Forge Brake Duct Cooling Kit.

There is no date until people get in 5 deposits. AFter that, I'll let them pick whatever weekend they want in place of any current trips that don't yet have 5 deposits.

K.lowe, Al will be in DC in late August, too.

It's posted here and at DCevo...I thought you were already a regular on DCevo - maybe I got you mixed up with someone else.

Go ahead and send me the mod list. I'm already skeptical of any used Evo sold with mods, especially extensive mods, so I sure hope it doesn't fall apart on you.
