Hey Al,

What is the effect of the upgraded pump during idle or cruising speeds? Will the car run richer compared to the stock pump during no load driving?

There is zero effect on idle and cruise - (so called "cloosed loop") as the ecu is in 02 sensor feedback loop and self adjusting for a constant 14.6 / 1 a/f

Also - there is virtually zero effect on fuel pressure at static fuel pressure level

It is only at 17 - 18 psi and above that you see a significant flow increase with the walbro

I disagree and have noted significant problems with Evo Scan recording many data items

It is a great $15 tool but not a replacement for other devices

Please going forward refrain from posting in my vendor section as this is a place for my customers to ask tech questions and for myself to provide tech support
Please enlighten us w/ your findings regarding the problems you have seen with data acquisition using Evoscan.

The long and short term fuel trim values are incorrect and in many cases the coolant temp value is also incorrect

Its a great tool for $15 but still has bugs

I am coming to Tucson on the 27th, The only mods I will have is a catback and drop in filter. I don't plan on a boost controller or any other mods yet. Would you recommend replacing my stock fuel pump under these circumstances? I mean, with just the tune and those two small mods?
