Previous tune - from Oct - pressed up against the knock activity threshold and then taken back a safe margin - (assumed at the time it was a bad load of gas) with a nice rich and safe a/f - vs. a very agressive and lean version in which the factory knock sesnor is being ridden - notice whp curve is almost the same till almost 6,000 rpms even with the much more conservative tune

I am very impressed by how smooth those curves are... nice. Too many dyno sheets show a very peaky curve with a lot of sharp changes. I can't wait to finally dyno my car after Al finishes my flash with my latest (and last mods) in March!
i love a technical debate as much as the next person and that is why this thread is still open. as long as you can debate in a mature and respectful way, i have no problem with this thread. as long as you bring technical things to the table so the members can learn, i have no problem.

Oh next time you use the AFR module ( turn it on ).

we finished on pull # 34 at 11:15 p.m. and would have done a few more if it was not so late - by the time we unstrapped the car and unhooked all the equipment it was after midnight
We like to let the car sit for 10 - 15 mins at least between runs if we can to let it cool sufficeintly which does take some time to do 20 pulls - average about 5 an hour
Also - the AFR module on the dyno jet CAN NOT read at all if its turned off - there would be no log to the chart
Finally as a technical matter - although this client did have a SAFC in the car - when we tuned it it was reset to all ZERO

**argument inciting text removed.** I can post up ricks 11.8 afr with the module on. I spoke to rick via cell phone at 4pm and the car was on the dyno. Non the less. I did rick a favor and flashed his car to make 60 more whp up top and he was happy. Whether or not you spent another 10hrs on the car to make 7whp is great, you removed the crank pulley and installed the factory one to remove any knock he had. I just hope you didnt pay dan too much for the dyno time
10hrs can really add up...
Happy tuning al

Al did you forget to use the AFR module on the dyno at Pruven to make Turbotrix's A/F look dangerously lean.

good to hear big al
