O.K., here's the deal....I'm currently running P2, and Turbo Back (UR 3"DP, Cat Delete, JIC Ti)....Questions:

How much whp increase could I expect with mail in reflash without adding a MBC? Can you now tune for constant 19lbs like the P2?

Do I have to remove the hose supplied with the P2 and go back to stock version?

Looking at the posts, It seems like the stock intake works fine for mild mods. Or am I wrong? Would an intake make a significant whp gain with mail in reflash? If so do you still recommend HKS?

whats MBC??????

 

mbc = manual boost controller
ebc = electronic boost controller

There's a huge volume of info. and lingo to process when you first get into modding import cars - I've learned so much researching here on evolutionm.net that my non-turbo friend think I'm an expert??? (I still don't know much compared to many)

BTW - I would recomend a Buschur air intake so you can upgrade to the Fireball 2 reflash through the mail - we have two clients who have run 12.3 @ 110 with that combo

The stock air box is fine - we just seem to get better through the mail results with that combo with the buschur filter - its only like $75.00

 

Al, just to clarify.....with the following mods I can get approximately 300whp:

Turbo Back Exhaust
Buschar Air Intake
DynoFlash Fireball 2

Also, just to clarify - this is with no MBC and can I keep the P2 hose intact?

I really suggest you get the Buschur or TX's MBC with that

We are not very confident with the boost pill method of boost control.

We have seen those set ups spike hard to high boost in 5th gear on low rpms pulls

I greatly prefer the HKS EVC but it is costly and the MBC will getr you the same result

BTW - there are dozens of guys geting the 1/4 mile time and dyno sheets with set ups like yours and making much more than 300 or 310 tyo the wheels -

In fact a guy in Atlanta made 340 whp on a dyno pak with race fuel

Ask around - the Fireball 2 flash is the best $199.99 you will ever spend on your evo
