Power Enterprise fuel pump

Al, have you ever used, or tuned an EVO with this fuel pump? If anyone else has experience with this pump, please let me know. I'd rather use this pump since I have had a Walbro in my DSM that makes too much noise. Also, I've read that this is a higher quality part

The Walbro in the Evo is silent. You will never hear it. The ones in the DSM's were very loud. The Walbro will work fine. Plus its made in the USA!!!! And more than half the cost.

My Walbro is loud and can be heard easily in around town driving (My wife asked what the weird sound is). However, with the radio on and going over about 40 mph, you won't notice it near as much.

Some pumps make a whining sound. It can be very annoying, especially external pumps.

Me either. I could barely hear it with the rear seat removed and the fuel pump access cover off. If someone can hear it, they either have a defective pump or Supersonic hearing.

I don't have the neoprene sleeve with mine. From Nino's you just get the pump for $90. I can't hear mine at all. I know for sure it has got to be 100% silent with the neoprene sleeve. The neoprene sleeve is less than $10. So get that with the Walbro and you have a guaranteed silent pump for $100.

I got my pump last week. There were 2 things, the pump and a bag the guy called the install
kit in the box. I remember him saying "you'll need the install kit" on the phone.

I haven't put it in yet. Waiting for the injectors to show up and do it all at once while I have the
fuel system de-pressurized.

Anyway, in the bag there is a neoprene piece that goes on the pump just before you
slide it back in. They call it the isolator. I assume this is it.

For reference, look at the evomoto site install, step 14.

Al, any thoughts on this pump? Have you tuned any cars using this pump?

Al, have you tuned any cars with the Power Enterprise fuel pump? I would like to use one of these pumps as they are supposed to be quieter. I have a Walbro, and the sound drives me nuts in traffic, especially when it is warm outside, the pump is much noisier. Just curious if you think the PE pump is going to prevent the lean conditions like the Walbro
