I am at AMS today - this is truley the mecca of all Evos - I am like a kid in a candy store with all the nice evo parts they have here and As soon as I got here last night I started consipring to get my car into a service bay here and start installing some of this stuff

They have some evos here which blow my mind - I will try and post up some pics later

Ummmm ...hey AL...I'm having a serious problem getting someone to do my cams and head studs on such short notice. Fell like making some extra $$$ so we can do a custom street tune on Saturday?

I think it will be, the guy seems to have a LOT of performance experience behind him and used to work for the SCCA....so here's hoping!!!

 

All I can tell you guys is that Martin is a genious of the AEM - he knows this unit backwards and forwards.

The resaon why I was having idel issues was becuase my firm ware version on my unit was outdated and did not properly operate the idel stepping motor

Martin had a update for this and afer he worked his magic - Martin is da man - it idels like stock now

I am glad that it was a problem with the fireware I was using and that I was not pulling my hair out all these weeks on a needless pursuit - I knew there was something wrong - I'm just glad its fixed !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ITS just TOO BAD that the techs at AEM would never respond to any of my emails and phone calls about this issue - but its really cool that I came here and got the help I needed!!!!!!!!

Dude....from NY to IL....AL made it FAST! I talked to him, ended the call at almost 6 central...and he was here in the area posting on evom at 2:18 in the morning!

 

Its worh the trip from anywhere !!!!!!!!!

We are working on a few AMS goodies that we are putting into my car for the meet tomorrow !!!!!!!!

AMS ROCKS,, they are the best!!

 

The coolest thing about Martin is that I did not even ask for help - he just offered it b/c he saw I was having some problms. It was a great experience to go out onto the road with MArtin and have him show me the rope with the AEM. Martin is a real whiz with that AEM he has the softwear mastered and he has some great ideas on how to set up the AEM
Basically - he is as deep into the AEM tuning with the evos as I am with my reflashing tuning
I learned a lot of great ideas. It was great to colaberate with such a hardworking and deicated professsional.
I cant begin to describe how much better my car is reunning now with the new AEM settings - its like anight and day difference in the cold start, hot start, cruise, re-start - idel - etc etc they are all very very good now!!!!

All the guys at AMS seem like one big happy famiily - they are all team players - its a great place to vsisit as a cusomner

Seems to me there's a little inconsistency there, am I way off base here? A few months ago you were promoting Buschur's piping and FMIC and now it's RMR's and AMS's.

Also, darn you Al, normally I'd be able to hop down from rockford to meet up and gawk at your evos but no you pick the time I am out at school in NY. Oh well enjoy!
