Al, intake or K&N?

you seem to be recommending the Buschur stage 4 in certain posts, but also the K&N drop in in others. Which one do you think is better in your opinion?

Al will recommend the HKS RS type of intake. He says it has the best flowing characteristics.

Correct fireball ! Nothing can tocuh the HKS intake kit - but it costs a lot of loot !

I have tunes for all the major intakes out there

My recomended list is the HKS RS, Buschur, AMS and ARC on the aftermarket intake

The K & N drop in is also very recomended and will make almost as much power as any of the other intakes

I do not recomend the K & N typhon or the AEM - but others have said good things about them - I just don;t see any power on the dyno for them

One thing to keep in mind is if you use any of the aftermarket intakes you MUST tune for them as they do alter tha MAF signal - run lean across the middle and cause knock - out through the mail reflashes are all calibrated to the intake you choose

The Fireball 2 is designed for the buschur for example

Fireball 3 beta is for the AMS intake with walboro pump and that one really kicks major butt

Which AMS intake? I went to ams and only found K&N and AEM intakes. Have you tried the APS true cold air intake yet? I would imagine that it would make the best HP especially under real driving were airflow is optimal.

Please help me make a decision on which Intake I should get. This along with a 3in turboback,MBC ,intercooler piping, and custom dynoflash will be my first set of upgrades. I wonder if Buschurs intercooler piping will work with the APS intake/intercooler resevoir.

The AMS intake i refer to is a kit they sell which has an adapter and a K & N cone filter

I have not done any tuning with the APS intake yet

There are conflicting theoroies about cold air intake and turbo cars with intercoolers - I am certainly willing to give it a test - however I would not expect any gains on the dyno as the air flow is greatly restricted there - I guess the best place to test out the cold air intake would be the track and test the mph against a non cold air intake intake

I'll let you guys know after i test one out

Al, I assume you mean that you only need a reflash if you are replacing the intake after the MAF, not before? Replacing the filter before the MAF with whatever intake shouldn't affect the MAF correct?
