Thumbs up Dyno Flash resale program - get your $$ back if you sell the car or switch ecus !!!

You can now SELL your Dyno Flash to another Evo owner

hence you retain value in your Dyno Flash which can be sold to the next user

You must send in your Dyno Flash and have the tune removed $50 fee for fed ex shipping, handling and administartion - and then I will transfer a new tune to the person you select - you just send in the ecu and get it flashed back to stock along with your name of the new buyer - he gets the flash installed FREE - however there is a $50 fee to cover fed ex shipping and adminstration

Do you ever stop thinking? You're a pioneer.

Now... who can I borrow a car off of to drive while my ECU is being reflashed?

Got a couple of PM's

Just to clarify - the guys who have or get a full custom tune will be able to transfer ONLY the base flash part of the Dyno Flash - the $199.99 through the mail reflash to another owner. Obviously, the custom tuning part or dyno time - IF applicable - is not something which can be sold.

However - at least you can recover the base flash value and sell that so you get something back at the end of your use

this new program is ideal for anyome leasing the evo and planning to turn it back at the end of the lease term

Another question which came up - THIS offer is open to ALL Dyno Flash customers - no matter when then bought the Dyno Flash - even beta testers - who want to sell or trade away the Dyno Flash base tune rights to another Evo owner any time going forward

heck you could even be nice and give away a free tune to a buddy

So what are the best whp/torque returns I can see on your best flash? And how much would it cost? My car is basically stock except for a ACT 2900 clutch kit that is about to be installled. That and a HKS filter kit.

So -

I have decided to offer a new Dyno Flash pioneering, cutting edge, and inovative idea as follows

ALL DYNO FLASH CUSTOMERS

You can now SELL your Dyno Flash to another board memeber of Evolution M and I will install if FREE into the other guys car and give him a new and updated version

hence you retain value in your Dyno Flash which can be sold to the next user

You must send in your Dyno Flash and have the tune removed and then I will transfer a new tune to the person you select - you just send in the ecu and get it flashed back to stock along with your name of the new buyer - he gets the flash installed FREE and just has to pay fed ex fees

MY preidiction is that your re-sale value on the transfered Dyno Flash will be just about the regular retail price of $199.99

The only loss here is the fed ex fees to send it here and back to restore the stock flash

Of course the custom tuned guys can only sell a base reflash to the next user - BUT at least you are now recovering $199.99 or so if you decide to sell the car or what ever

This way you are not lossing your "investment"

Also - I predict that my reflash will have a much better resale value than any used elctric device. The product being sold is a new base flash matched to the next users personal set up

Just another Dyno Flash innovation

Will you explain why you never mentioned a $50 administrative and shipping fee for both the buyer and seller in your resale program?

I quote your original post, "you just send in the ecu and get it flashed back to stock along with your name of the new buyer" & "he gets the flash installed FREE and just has to pay fed ex fees."

So, can we get a through the mail flash to hold us over.....come get flashed back to stock, sell our tune, then get custom tuned?

In other words, if we need a second custom tune, can we sell the base flash of the custom tune each time?

Kind of confusing...sorry

so, why would someone buy one from another person if it costs them MORE then buying one from you directly?

Either I don't really understand this marketing scheme or I just plain think something doesn't sound right.

Firstly If I were to sell the car I would simply tell the next person, "By the way I've been dynoflash tuned enjoy it, I'm selling the car for this much I added 50$ or so more because of that tune." This way those 50$ goes directly in my pocket without all the shipping hassle and waiting for the ECU to come back. You guys are forgetting if someone was eager to get an Evo they won't want to wait 3 days for shipping to and from Dynoflash. I'm assuming if they ever needed more tunning that it would be there issue and let them contact AL directly.

Even if I was selling it back to the dealer, once it's in their hands that's their business. If they find out that the ECU has been tuned, they have the OBDII units to flash it themselves back to stock, problem solved.

That and 50$ for administrative cost and shipping.. "Administrative costs???? for what 1 minute of work.. Shipping a little unit isn't that much either.

Now I know you have a business and your thinking of making money, but unless you clarify a bit more I don't see this as a great idea but more of a scheme for you to get a cut out of 50$ that belong to me if I were to sell the Evo.

It costs $224 to buy one from me directly including shipping

Someone going back to stock has to pay fo rthe shipping and hadnling charges anyway so that is a given expense

The savings would be $224 - 50 or $176 so if you bought the rights for $100 you would save $76

My point in doing this was not to create a lucrative market for second hand flashes - the main point was to offer the original buyer some way to recover SOME of his original expense if he was getting rid of the car or going to a stand alone etc
