A fuel cell would be a great idea. You could have the walbro feed the cell to keep it pressurized and always full then have an inline pump that flows some monster volume to your fuel rail.

Thanks for the 411 man

WHY do I get the feeling I am looking at a bomb when I look at those kind of things ?

I would prob prefer to do an extrernal pump ou of the surge tank if I went that route

I also have to take a close look at my NHRA rule book - something is telling me that I am stuck with the stock fuel tank only in my class

A fuel cellcertainly sounds like a much safer idea than an alumn box with a bunch of 12 v wires in it filled with fuel

Al, How about a new driver, with all that you have with your car you should be faster. But I dont think you will ever see the 9"s like the turbotrix car. will you have Martin at AMS tune you car again. I think you should run what you sell if your dynoless flash will support all those mods.

My car "should be faster" eh? Well how many street driven Evos with radial tires are faster than my evo so far>>>??? (Not to many) As far as turbo trix's car - I rather not get into a long debate on that subject here - suffica to say its about 350 lbs less weight than my car and is a purpose built drag racing car with a lot of nos - AND not a lot of extra equipment . If you read the quote in my signature line below you will discover why I am not going to similarly mutilate my evo in order to get faster drag times. My goal is to try and mainatin all of the handling and stopping features which make the Evo a great road car while at the same time making it as fast as I can in a staight line. I know there are some evo owners that appreciate the distinction between a purpose built drag car with no power steering, no a/c, small brakes, bias ply drag tires and a ice filled liquid intercooler on the one hand and a road going daily driver on all boost on the other hand.

As for the use of a reflash - I think we have been down the conversation concerning the benefits of a reflash vs. a stand alone on a few different occassions and don't see the need to go down that road again, except to say that for the vast majority of users who are using their evos as daily drivers and doing minimal modifications a reflash provides very decent power gains while mainatining 100% driveability and OBDII emmissions compliance. While stand alones do offer the possibility of much more ultimate power through elimination of the MAF sensor and also through the elimination of the factory knock sensor protection - - THEY do cost a LOT more money - especially when you consider all the extra sesnors and add ons you need and THEN look at the time and expense of properly tuning it. I think its obvious that when you look at the gains provided with a reflash at $199 or $500 - vs $2,000 plus for a stand alone it becomes obvious why the vast majority of users are running reflashes on their evos.

As for me - with 530 whp plus only an idiot would consider anything but a full stand alone.

That is GIGANTOR!! Good luck with it, and make sure no cats or small children are nearby when you spool that thing!

No way would I run just the 255 pump with that much hp. I run about 550whp with my Mustang and I use a 255 intank along with a Vortech T-Rex external inline pump.

I saw some videos of that car over the weekend. It has truly stupifying power. It also makes me sick jealous, because I really wanted a Weightless White car, but couldn't hold out long enough for one. LOL self-control.
