I can see that you have been hanging about Vishnu long enough to adopt 'moon' counting methods

I love the AMS turbo kit - but please realize that if you bought the AMS turbo kit you would still need to spend the rest of the money to get the stage 4 parts like exhuast, intake, fmic and cams

Which ever way you manipulate the numbers the Buschur parts are a great value for the money and work very well

When I got my turbo kit I was looking at 3 kits and everyone knew that here on these forums. I had AMS, BR and ATP in mind. I took AMS of the pic because it was too much money for me but it was complete and perfect kit. AMS guys never said they need extra parts to make it spool better (correct me if I am wrong AMS) BR was a great kit however I did not like the turbo and ATP left. I don’t care what you think, but there are some people out there trying to spend their money and hook up their cars just like I did and it's my responsibility (some times) as every user on these forums including you should show them all the possibilities and ways that they should take. I was lost with my kit when the tuning part came up until some good members here gave me a hand and helped me out. We expect the same from you too AL

Correct me if Im wrong but is this a turbo comparison thread? No, its a thread on power made with a BR kit. This advertising in other threads is completly lame. I dont know Al and I dont use his products but I dont think he has to tell anyone of other options in this thread because it is specific only to the bushur kit. There are other threads about other kits, I would like to only hear about what this thread is titled. Looking at your sig, its quite obvious you are biased "first ATP kit". Who the hell cares.

"it's my responsibility. . . "

I think the Buschur turbo kits work well and are cheap and I think I should be able to talk about them on my own section of this forum that I pay a month fee to maintain IF I want to and NOT have to deal with you constantly trying to market ATP and Vishnu products - just my two cents

If you want to enter in to discusions about how great your ATP turbo kit is - you have the engine power train or vishnu forum to talk all you want

You are one of the people that causes these threads to go off topic and turn into a damn mess so I am not wrong. Im hardly crying just stating the obvious. Leave the damn thread alone so people can inform themselves on Buschur kits.

Without a doubt I'd go with something like the Buschur stage 4 before I'd slap a big turbo on. You're leaving so much power on the table by just doing a turbo upgrade. A Buschur stage 4 car would give a stock car with just an upgraded turbo a hard time on the road and at the track. Just my opinion.

Hey Al, you didnt answer our question.... So does that EVO have any engine mods? Please clearify that and tell us what it takes to get that power from the BR kits. Thx

The car had a totally stock block and heads with only the HKS cams that come with the Buschur Stage 4 kit - all the parts in the Buschur Stage 4 kit are listed at www.buschurracing.com

I would suspect that with the Buschur head work and a 8,000 rpms red line this car would have approached 500 whp on the awd dyno jet dyno

IMHO not bad for a stock ecu with a reflash

I agree - Robi's Buschur Flashed Stage 4 with Buschur head mods was on of the fastest and best driving evosI have ever driven and making just about 390 whp with race gas with the stock turbo. The low end trq and spool up were insane with that set up.

I would without a doubt do the Stage 4 mods first - then the head and finally the turbo

Its no accident that Dave Buschur followed the stages 1 - 5 that he designed as they make perfect sense and allow the evo owner an opportunity to do a gradual build up over time - or do the whole thing in one step

Hey Al, does the HKS cam which come with stage 4 kit will effect the engine, some people claim aftermarket cams will shorten engine's life anywhere from 3-5 years. Is that true? I am a bit confused as I assume aftermarket cams like HKS are high quality parts which suppose to be better than stock and last longer.
