From what I have read and seen from people using E85 and tuners I have talked to, 880s are the bare minimum for E85 even on a stock Evo, and 1000s are not too big for the same setup, but will cover you for a turbo up to and including a green or 50trim. 1200cc or bigger, like 1600 of you are going with a bigger turbo than that. beyond 1200 supposedly becomes more of a challenge on the stock ECU in terms of idle and cruise.

We got 1200cc's to work on E-70 and for pump fuel.

Was a little tricky but I got it to work.

just out of curiosity, would you happen to know what duty cycles you are seeing on the 660s?

You'd still be pushing way too much fuel because of how much more you need when running E85 (30%).

I know one thing I'm going to be doing is get two maps. I have the Cobb AP, so I can just get pro tunned for both E85 and premium, and just reflash to what my situation on fuel is.

Don't forget about E85 switching down to E70 in the winter and back in the spring!
Eventually you'll want 3 maps.

Yeah. I'll need all summer just to be able to payoff my bills and then afford the E70 map.

Tuning is not cheap.

Not trying to suck up or anything, but FWIW Mitch gave me what I thought was a very reasonable and low quote for 3 different maps...

the evo isn't flex fuel, but can run e85 with at the least a proper tune and a few mods to increase fueling.
what kind of mods do we need to run e-85 on evo8? need help this is my first time having a turbo car so i want to keep it simple like simple bolt-on

I dont think that they do. I think since the weather is warmer they just stick to E-85.

Also depends on the gas station I would imagine as well.

To find out for sure...call the gas station and get the number of the distributer.
