E85 stations

I thought I would post a thread to list the sources of where to locate E85 stations, both nationally and locally.

It is my presumption that the most accurate data will actually be found on local forums, blogs, alternative energy sites, car club sites and forums, etc.

If you know fuel suppliers who will ship E85 I'd like to add those as well.

So, I am making this into two sections: national and local. At the top will be the national sites, which attempt to list all of the E85 stations in the US. Then if members will submit local resources I'll post those by state, and even by city if applicable.

I created a special Google Map awhile back listing all of the E85 stations in CO at the time. More may have been added since then, but there were quite a few. If anyoen is interested in having it and/or becoming a collaborator on the map, PM me your email address and I will add you as a collaborator on the Google Map.

I'm not familiar with that feature of Google maps. Is that an on-line map accessible by members? Or an off-line map shared by members?

I was thinking the list of states in post #1 could be links to a series of individual state Google maps. Evom members from each state could have access to their state map and populate it with E85 stations, and keep it updated and current.

What do you think?

Yes, that is exactly what I was basing my Google Map on.
Yes, it is an online map that you can share with "collaborators", who must be invited by the map creator or other collaboratos. I have tried just sharing the map as a link, but it seems to discard the mapped/marked locations and reverts to just a plain regular map when I do that.
My goal originally was to have a big collaboration like that. I'm down. I shared it with some of the Rocky Mountain region Evotuners.com members, they may have been contributing to it in the meantime (hopefully).

We should have each region's interested members supply an email addy, and they can then become collaborators for their region and eventually we'll have a full, up to date national map.

Who knows, maybe then the more tech-heads with their iPhones etc. can actually use the station map on the road to plan a trip or for emergencies, and get to keep the benefits of E85 on long road trips too

Even though this is from 2008 I would like to add to this. I found this app for the droid phones called Greendrive. It list all e85 stations privately owned and commercially owned in your area using gps. It also shows all other alternative fuels in the area but I just uncheck all those so only E85 shows on the map. It will show the phone number to the station and give you directions to the station from where your at also.

corn

I hope the E85 stations are going to stay in business. This summer is predicted to be such a severe shortage of corn (usually $4/bushel...now almost $8/bushel due to limited supply) that the ethanol plants are scheduled to shut down for a month or two when the corn runs out this summer.
