Your post lists the same scaling as last time. Is that a typo or did you not change it?

Sorry, that was a typo. It was in fact 975.

Go up one more step in scaling.

Well I finally got the PTE1000's scaled right:
3.648
2.016
1.368
1.104
0.816
0.600
0.480
1008 scaling
Cruise FT = 2.06
Idle FT = 2.65

Thanks guys and I really appreciate all the help.

Only problem is now when I startup cold, it drives insanely lean (popping 16+ AFRs) and horribly rough(bucks) until after a few minutes. It's only when it's cold, and if I set "Min Coolant temp for closed loop" at 222 or something when the engine is warm, it drives perfectly around 15.0. It wasn't too bad when the injectors were scaled at 860, but it is very bad now that they are scaled at 1008.

It should start and drive like stock. What have you changed besides injector scaling and latency? Have you disabled closed loop cruise?

Well this map was originally from jestr tuning, and it only looks like timing was messed with besides hi/low fuel tables, scaling, and latencies when I compare to a stock map from an 03 VIII, but I could be missing something. Perhaps I'll try the stock timing tables next.

Is the car looking at the Low Octane Ignition map when warming up? I can tell I have very little timing advance when its warming up, so little that it spools when barely touching the throttle over idle.

Yes I disabled closed loop by setting 'Min Coolant temp for closed loop' back to 7, if that is what you meant.

back to the original topic

Well I did a few WOT pulls and I'm still lean up top. I am around 12-12.5 from around 5k up. I posted 2 screen shots of 2 different maps I tried, one of them I set all the cells from 100 load+ to 7.4.

Strangely my AFRs were about the same when I pulled in 3rd or 4th gear between the two maps. I expected it to go rich when I would floor it at lower rpms, but that didn't even change too much - only slightly richer.

Is this for gasoline or E85?

93 gas, e85 hasn't been in there for a few tanks.

I think you have a good case now for a failing fuel pump or clogged fuel filter. Just out of curiosity, what are the outside temperatures when your're logging?

I'll prob order a new pump and start with that. It's 33F right now in Rochester, NY.

You could test the fuel pressure. As shown here.

In fact, some DIY'ers will (with a longer hose) attach the gauge to the outside of the windshield and test drive the car so they can see the actual pressure whilst driving.

Could be a weak pump, a clogged filter, or even a bad AFR. I'm not really sure how to diagnose these separately, however.

I presume two pressure gauges, one gauge on each side of the FPR would show if the FPR is working correctly, or not. Or, would show a bad fuel pump as well.

Is the filter something that can be visually inspected? I'm not sure. Pressure test on both sides? Probably not possible.

New Fuel pump solved the problem

I swapped out my fuel pump with a new one, and I'm no longer having fuel problems at high RPM. Turns out it was a weak pump.

What are the fuel trims with the new pump?
