This is the only quote I could find so far that includes elevation. Not sure what the direct effect of elevation is, however. Maybe my load is not that far off. I do have the BR intake, but it is supposed to be one of the few intakes that does not mess up MAF readings.

Anyone else care to post their E85 boost, load and elevation? Maybe I'll start a separate thread.

Which load? Raw, or baro+temp corrected. They are _VERY_ different at altitude.

My car is in about 3 million pieces right now. When it is back together, I'll go out and collect a lot with all three load values at once.

I'm logging 1Byte load only.

I have found it useful to log Spark-Load, 2byte+baro correction
and log Fuel-Load, 2byte+baro+IAT correction.

Altitude does have a major affect on load as the ecu sees it.

Hey all,

I live at 5500ft elevation. running an FP green, 30Psi.

RAW load was about 350 -360 if I remember correctly (was over a year ago) and then realised that my map timing figures (at 340 load) where very different to the actual logged figures in evoscan.

Changed to load + baro + temp and now they are within 1 deg, meaning my logged load and actual are very close (about 10% on the load)

Since going baro + temp compensation I see a load of about 280. which to me makes sense of 2 bar (30psi) plus the atmospheric pressure of 0.83 bar = 2.83 bar absolute = 280 load. I also go into boost at about 85-90% load so that makes me think it true too.

maybe my theory is wrong , but my maps are accurate on my logging.

I generally hit peak load at about 3700 in 2nd, 3300 in 3rd, 3000 in 4th and sub 3000 in 5th and 6th.

dyno peak tq = 3400rpm

running 12.8-13 in spool, dropping to 11.9-12.1 for the rest of the range.

Mike
