That's really amazing, now could it be that you live in california where humidity is scarce? My motorcycle was out there for a year and had 0 rust whatsoever, even after living a block from the ocean. Now moving to the east coast 1 month of it outside and saltwater/humidity corrosion is horrendous. Cant wait to see pics of the new findings.

I'll take some photos of how everything looks when I start getting it ready to be put back on the road.

Should be interesting.

Motor is fine, it's not coming out any time soon if I have anything to do with it. I was going to take photos of the same things I did in post #1. Evo is still sitting in the garage for now though.

Update.

Sent my 1000cc RC injectors in to get them flowed and cleaned because I was curious and the car has been sitting in my garage.

They have been in the car since 2007. They have had E85 running through them since 2008, so 5+ years of E85 usage.

Never had them out to get flowed or cleaned until now.

Another thing to note is the car has been sitting for over a year, NEVER STARTED. So the injectors have sat without being run for over a year, with pure E85 in them.

Got them back today with results:

All grey values are before, white are after...E85 is seriously awesome. Barely any difference before/after.

one thing that perhaps many people don't recognize is that there is at best 1 ft of actual rubber hose in the evo fuel system. even if it were degrading slightly (i've seen zero evidence for this in the numerous number of times i have had my fuel system apart), it wouldn't be enough to mess up injectors.

Yea you have been able to do that for awhile now. It's a simple tweak. Full ESC off.

Good looking out... I have seen waaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyy worse after just 6-10 months of running E85. Maybe the size of the injector has something to do with it.

Bryan- do you recommend e85/91 map switching? What if I need to go on that long road trip to Tahoe/Reno or I get lazy and want to go on 91?
