Running really rich on spool
Hey guys,
Having an issue where the car refuses to lean out on spool. Any suggestions? Everything else is fine, trims are .4/-2. PTE 1000s. Car was boost leak tested to 40psi.
I don't have a ton of experience with E85 so not sure if this is normal.

Other than that, your open loop thresholds can be raised either in load or TPS or both so that the car tries to meet stoich for longer until the tuned map takes over.

Hi all, so i did some Lean spool tuning and still getting really rich during spool. Also, post spool it is also really rich... I can't seem to get it lean enough, stuck in the mid 11s with the fuel map in the 17 unit values... really weird
Never really have this issue on EVOs. Get it on Subys sometimes, cuz you cant put anything higher then 14.4 in the open loop fuel map or it wont follow the open loop fuel map (on a suby).
My one guess/suggestion is that the injector scaling may be too low, making it so it dumps more fuel then needed. Try a higher scaling and use the latencys to bring trims back to good.
And as the guy above suggested, you may have a different problem, like old wideband sensor or something.
