Currently my car is bone stock other than a K&N drop in filter. Is there any way to get the turbo to spool a few hundred rpm sooner?

replace the cat with a test pipe, and get an aftermarket downpipe and catback.

Turbo Back exhaust helped me a out a LOT, especially the downpipe. Next to that was upgrading the diverter (blow off) valve to a JDM MR unit, I picked up about 250rpm of spool with that. Stock ones have been known to leak pretty bad

Okay those were some good ideas but out of those which would you say are most cost effective?

you can find the JDM MR diverter valve for 110 shipped in the vendor for sale section. I'd say thats pretty cost effective

Downpipe helped me out the most but that was after a catback. Dp might not help out too much without the catback.

Better spool - Not in order

Downpipe
test pipe / highflow cat
catback
O2 housing
Lower IC pipe
Air filter
stronger BOV

you guys think a 3" o2 housing will really help?

I have an RNR 3" o2 housing lying around, waiting 4 install. Ever since i installed my IC, i did notice spoolup took longer and its annoying. But then i need a reflash too... heh
