E85 Question....s

So I just have a few questions for any of the ethanol guys....my brother also has an evo but runs pump gas, mine runs e85, and he tells me mines running rich as crap according to my aem wideband a/f gauge. Im wondering if this is due to the ethanol, or is something broken, or if theres a better way to monitor e85 a/f ratio....thanks for all the input.

It is tuned. But i feel like its reading that because its not really ment to monitor ethanol. Would changing the gauge to lamba help with a better reading?

Its hard to explain but check it.
there's no need to try to convert the readings..the sensor originally reads in lambda then converts to a gas afr on the wideband..lambda never changes, and lambda is all that matters.
Basically the sensor reads lambda and sends the lambda values to the wideband gauge and then that does some math and displays the value as gas numbers. makes sense right?

Stoich, no matter what fuel, is 1.0 lambda, which is 9.7xx on e85 and 14.7 on gasoline. just different conversions based on burn rate and other factors. with that being said, you have a reference as to what you are at on e85, while reading it on your wideband that reads out gasoline afr's without doing the math.

what? your display on the uego is just done by a math conversion. You take your lambda value that the wideband sensor pics up, and multiply it by xxx to get your 14.7 for gas value. I don't think the uego has a setting for e85, it would be cool if it did though
