Re: adjusting fuel map

I want to richen up my high octane fuel map. I know the values in there are arbitrary as far as target A/F is concerned but wondering if someone can give me tips on how to change the values.

I want to richen up my A/F by .5. Would it be advisable to change all the values in the boost tables to X-0.5?

Or should I increase by 1-2% fuel in all the boost columns until I'm running the desired A/F?

thanks for the link...although I guess my question is pretty much common sense.

To add on to it...when richening up the A/F under boost, should I richen all the columns for say 3000+ RPM and from 0psi and up?

Going too rich at spoolup will hinder fast spoolup so I'd like to know what columns and RPM range I should concentrate on for A/F tuning under WOT.

im starting at column 140 @ 3500 and working down and to the right....... but i have a mailin flash that im starting from

i know the values in the map are not the actual A/Fs...... but i think you where asking the same question i was trying to.......... if you adjust a cell by 1.0 will that change 1.0 on your A/F gauge........ say your A/F gauge reads 10.0 and the corresponding cell on the map says 8.0 and you adjust that cell to 9.0 will that change the reading on your A/F gauge to 11.0............

anja confirm with your wideband at boost levels, i realized i had to lean mine out at around 14 psi and up so i started at the 200 column around 3500 rpms and it worked great

This is a pretty close formula. I would feel comfortable advising you that would be ok as long as you have a wideband to monitor with an acceptable sample and display rate.
