does ECUFlash work on Windows Mobile 5.0???

just curious to see if anyone has tried using their phone in place of a PDA for their datalogs & evoscans? my new t-mobile SDA has a 2GB mini SD card i picked up from the UK. it might not be enuff memory i'm thinking but might hold the major points of the ECUFlash (if it's compatible) until i get the 4GB sony ericsson W950i...

Doubt it, you probably won't be able to install ecuflash or evoscan on wm5, Unless they decide to port it.

That would be cool, I don't think it will work, wm5 is a different OS than windows xp/2000, the software won't be compatible unless they port it to wm5 os. You can copy all the system files onto the mini sd, but you won't be able to run them.

The development platform that Colby is using is capable of creating code for the PDA.. Only the cable needs a USB port and drivers, which I do not know exist yet for that platform..

EvoScan is a vb.NET application, and if the drivers work (as noted above), then this can also be ported without much difficulty..

More specifically, it needs a USB host controller. Just having usb port isn't enough, you have to be able to host the bus. I ran into the same problem when trying to write a scantool for the PSP.

I checked into it, the FDI drivers supposedly have a winCE version that should work. WindowsMobile is not specifically listed which may or may not be a problem.
