I can look at it if you e-mail it to me, if it closely matches something that requires only a small amount of editing, I can create a definition that works with it.. If its gotta come from scratch, then we'll have to wait for Jason or Colby to give some input.

i have the same ecu number. i opened it as 96420008. the only difference is the idle step lookup table, where the scaling is all screwed up. leave that as is.

Does ECUFLASH writes the entire image back into the ROM or only those fields that have been changed? I'm wondering if its safe to just define the rev limit/speed limit/fuel/ignition maps, tune it and flash them into the ROM while leaving the other maps undefined with screwed up scaling. Right now, I'm not sure if the screwed up maps will be flashed into the ECU and crash the ECU or something.

No, it only writes the portions that are altered from the rom you started with..

Why don't one of you post up the ROM(s) in question - either here or on openECU.org. I'm sure it won't be very difficult to fix the XML definitions.

It's already up @ OpenECU.org under this thread -> http://forums.openecu.org/viewtopic.php?t=563

When I open up the ROM with ECUedit, I can see alot more fields than under ECUFlash. So basically, I just want to use the fuel/ignition maps without worrying about the other undefined fields messing up the ECU when I reflash it.

Hi everyone, hope you’re all doing great.

I’d like to share a street tune ROM I’ve been working on for one of my personal street projects.
The car is a Lancer 4G94 Manual, with the following modifications:
  • 4g93 intake manifold
  • Custom intake routed to the front with velocity stack

  • Ported and polished cylinder head
  • Pistons 1.00 mm oversize
  • Header
  • 2.5" exhaust piping
  • HKS 2.5" muffler
In the next few weeks, we’ll be taking the car to the dyno to fine-tune the fuel and ignition timing for optimal street performance.

Next step, we’re planning to go turbo, but the current ROM tables won’t be suitable anymore since they only scale from 0 to 100 load.
Does anyone here have a 4G94 turbo ROM that could be shared or used as a reference?

Additionally, I’m looking for a 3000GT 6G72 SOHC ROM — I’ll attach the BIN file that ECUFlash reads, but I don’t have the corresponding tables.

Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated! 🙌
Best regards to all
