I apologize, I have not pulled or attempted to pull it yet. I was looking for a xml so I could look for a rom I'D and kinda see what I could accomplish. Limited information also exists, do I need a 1.3 or 2.0?

I reflashed few monteros with 2.0 but be carefull 3.5L have vave various procesors MH8302, MH8305, MH8304, you need to pay attention not to brick it. i attached the rom of my personal Montero its a 3.5 SR 2001 with a mh8302 I made my own definitions so it have only what i needed to modify hope help it you

I have a 2006 3.8L can you retune to improve the mpg? I have both cables, can ecuflash be used?

 

for shure in my personal vehicle my montero can stand 16mpg since in Puerto Rico we have more rural drives than highways, it have 162k already. First of first you need to unplug your battery and unplug your ecu. Open it an read what type of memory model it has

 

This is of a second tune it bonestock have 152hp
