reading/clearing CEL codes with ECUflash cable?

just as the title says, i'm new to the ecuflash thing. i have the tactrix cable, and have fiddled with it a little already. i have not noticed anything that allows me to read any codes i have. this is somewhat important as i am a few months overdue for an inspection and would like to keep the CEL off.

so will ECUflash read the codes? or do i need evoscan or a different program to pull the codes?? or will the tactrix cable not even support such opperation.

thank!

evoscan will do it for you with the cable.

I get a lot of false codes generated by EVOscan, there's a thread about that in this forum.. might not be the best tool for clearing codes based on that.

ECUflash does not read the codes.

Do not use Evoscan to clear codes. It's not very reliable yet.

For now, you'd have to use and OBD-II logger and cable to clear your codes.
