this is why i think that its possible to make great power on the stock ECU, im shooting for 550whp with Meth and all my supporting mods on the stock block, We'll see how long should last!

I feel as long as the car is tuned fairly accurate. i just think that the logging is the key. What do you suggest that would yeild better results than lets say ECU + i know at the moment its one of the better loggers out there if not the best, but Concerning on price point, which is the best bang for the buck. Considering that ECU Scan can log up to 30+ samples per Sec. I dont see why it would be a good logging tool, maybe it something that will get better with time. it is still in its pre release phase, So i dont think that its at its prime yet.

well im not malibu, But The BR 35r has to be the best bang for the Buck. I mean Mid 10s on there Shop car, with a relatively simple mod list Are you serious? Dont get me wrong, AMs Is Top notch. But IMO Price per dollar, BR is the best you can do. Reliabilty is poissbly the best. BR Eats sleep and ****s DSM's since mid 80s So you know hes not screwing around. I dunno why. But i just get all warm and wet inside.

Or just a head gasket?

Thanks

I have BR's kit.. Best bang for the buck at its price.. FWIW Almost all the GT35r kits from popular vendors make very similar power..

There are other secrets to finding the missing power in these setups too..

Ive got the 35r installed now and I'm starting to tune. I'm using 1000cc injectors which I scalled to 880 and adjusted the latency using the AEM wizard as recommend by MalibuJack.

The car cruises and drives great. I have only one small problem once and a while when I come to a stop or just after starting the car. What happens is the A/F gauge will drop down to 10:1 and then climb back up to 20-22:1 and then go back down to 10:1 again. I think I need to raise the BISS a touch, I'll try that tomororw.

Other then that everything is great. The lag people talk about really isn't that bad, I was actually expecting much worse. According to my logs I have 10psi which is the max boost I'm running now before 4k RPM.

Yep, the car will scoot right along at lower boost levels quite well...it just FEELS slower because the turbo comes in so much smoother that you don't realize how fast you are accelerating until you let off

I'm running 21-22 psi and with the cool weather, its feeling NASTY. I'm actually about to match up w/ a 120+ mph 240sx and I'll let you guys know how it goes

I assume your on pump gas at those boost levels, what kind of timing curve are you running?

Check your trims.. Looks like its way out of range either at idle or cruise..

I found the AEM wizard made a good starting point, but I ended up using LESS latency and a smaller injector size and ended up having better results when the trims are in check..

Yeah, I run shell 93. About 7 deg at peak tq ramping up to 15-16 up top. AFRs in the very low 11s. I didn't get to run the 240, they had an event at the track.

where exactly is peak TQ with a 35r on a 2.0? From the dyno graphs I've seen there isn't much of a peak, more like a flat line of TQ from 5k to redline.

Well "peak tq" being the load spike on the stock ecu to ~300+. That is in the 4500-5500 rpm range depending on gear obviously.

bringing this thread back from the dead to get others experience. I've had my 35r installed for a few weeks now and everything is still running excellent. I think I have my pump gas map pretty solid and wanted to compare with others who have tuned there car themselfs to see how simular they are.
