Hmmm, Jack for some reason the calculated load values are off about 30 units or so from what I get just tracing the map by hand. My datalogs are great knock sum-wise, with only a few 1's here and there. I'm still on the stock injectors so your defaults are correct as well.

Your load column only gets up to 230 at its highest while I get this when I trace it out manually (all this at about 18 psi):

OH, and I added the 8s in completely irrelevant load areas for those who think they have some clue of tuners' "signatures"

The load calculation is only as accurate as the variables you fill.. If your using your 14.1v injector latency value, and your voltage is 13v, you have to compensate for that by altering the value slightly.. I was considering putting in an entry for the 11v and 14v values and then calculating the value by its voltage recorded in the logs.. but I figured it made little sense to do that..

If you find there is a significant difference from your 11v and 14v latency values, it could explain your calculations being slightly off.. In my case, my 11v value is 1.2ms and 14v is .94ms so the difference for 13.5v (as recorded in my log) would be a few hundreths at most difference..

I take it you are getting full boost around 4500- 5000 according to that trace? 11 degrees at peak torque on a 35r? Wow, are you running 116 or something?

On the contrary, when I trace or use the 852*-hz/rpm math I would hit 266% tops, this is with 1603hz pegged for half the recorded pull, with same log the load calc gives me 279.

a418t81, What turbo are you using, can you Post any Logs?

MbJack, what are the required items to log for your calculator to give a good load? I notice if I give it like 10 seconds of flat idle info the calculator's product starts high like 1 - 10 K and will stabilize through time to like 9.0348798, it's when the load products are low the calculator works. Is thisnormal or is my stuff off?

The only required items are AFRMAP and InjPulsewidth (or IPW, I forgot what I used)

Generally if either of those are missing, you'll get weird values, also remember to set your injector scale and latency values in the program..

the values are really only valid for loads over 100%, I haven't looked too closely at the idle and cruise values, but I do not recall them hitting weird values, generally on my car they were almost what the ECU actually uses at idle..

I have seen a few variants on the load calc formula. Which formula (incl constants) are you using in your Log Analyzer app? Thanks. :-)

Its the most current one that JCSBanks posted (Starts with 5 *......) All of the formulas are derivatives of eachother.. Only the most current one uses IPW and Injector scale which rendered the best results on my car.

Yeah, the car feels very interesting now. When I first began tuning it came in very smoothly but as I ramped timing up around peak torque, etc it began to hit pretty hard. It actually feels a bit like the stock turbo as far as tq hit but it occurs at 4500 rpm vs 3k. Its interesting to describe the differences in the lower end. The 35 comes in more slowly for sure, but 5 psi will pull you along quite well. In 3rd gear between 4500-5k rpm its hitting full boost...hard to tell you exactly when b/c I don't log that pressure and the car hits warpspeed at 4500

I'm only running 93 octane for tuning my pumpgas map obviously but 11 deg at 18 psi and 5000 rpm is not nearly as exotic as that figure might be at peak tq on a stock turbo @ 22 psi and 3500 rpm
