First off, nothing is available for download yet -- and nothing will be until Colby gets back in town. However, for those who thought there was no hope, here's a glimmer.

FWIW, I've done quite a bit of USB driver development for OS X. Between my day gig and a committment to Enginuity, I'm pretty much swamped the rest of the month, but if this is still a hurdle I could look at it next month. I've actually traced the OpenPort cable with a USB analyzer and the underlying USB pipes and descriptor blocks used by the FTDI chip seems pretty straight forward.

I haven't written any OS X drivers, but I know the linux side pretty well. I you want to take a crack at it let me know.

suscribed. I would love to be able to reflash my ecu with my macbook pro, rather then borrow my friends dell. while running windows natively on the intel duo core macs are there any problems with the ecu flash and the tactics cable?
I'm sure the OSX and Linux guys are chomping at the bit to get the full FTDI protocol support.
FWIW, the earlier versions of ECUFlash supported com ports, which means the routines for doing it using standard serial IO may already still exist in the code.
