It does knock but it your car is properly tune it'll recover right away, the ECU work lighting fast so let say you fall back to 5000 rpm after launching, as you accelerate without knock the ecu willswitch back to high octane maps

5500 is more then enough I get 1.6 or 1.7 at the track

6000 rpms. Cut a 1.6 set at 5000 rpms when I was stock (only once) but stayed consistently in the low 1.7's. Keep it conservative until you get a better clutch.

6K and it launches perfect on the street. Havent taken it to the sticky track yet..

I think the clutch restrictor also plays a big factor. I still have mine in and can basically side step it and it's fine.

6800 all last year
Anything under 6k wont build boost on my car. 6k-7k bulids the same boost though. im going to play with it this year at the track(6k-7k) till i find the sweet spot or till it breaks.

I have mine set at 5500. Is this too low considering the type of clutch I have? Also, with is set at 5500, I'm quickly at 7400 (shifting point) which eliminates first gear for the most part. Does anyone bypass first gear altogether in order to get the most out of second gear?
