Question Valet Map?

Hi guys I know this is short notice but we just finalized the deal on our '05 EVO and are flying back to the USA to pick up the car. We have to ship it over to our duty station here in the UK. That means the car will be at the mercy of the dock workers and shipping guys. I really need some form of Valet MAP. I have the Tatrix cable, EVOSCAN and ECUFLASH already. Could someone help me with a MAP? I was playing with a stock ROM and I can set the stationary rev limit to 3700 and rev limit to 4k but I am unsure how to dial down the boost as far as it will go and give the car a 40 MPH speed limit. Is this possible

Steven

Under the limits go to Speed limit and input the max speed in km/h that you want (65). For boost control, go to min temp for full boost control. You will need to make sure you have set the level to developer (under options) and then input 100* C. Problems solved.

edit- You could also set wastegate duty cycle maps and Boost deisred load maps to 0.

Just looking and I dont see Min temp for full boost. There is only min temp for closed loop.

Should be the same thing, I might have it tagged differently. Whats it set at now 85*C? If it is thats the same one. Set it 101 or 102* (temp it will never see) not only will it cut boost to spring pressure in the wastegate it will be rich as heck and keep power way down.

Its there now, I guess once you set it to developer you have to close and reopen for it to be displayed.

Actually that was another question I had. Since I am just using a basic 8 ROM file, can I manipulate it (been learning) and still use it on my EVO? If not I am going to assume thats why there is an immobilizer section you can edit in the ECUFLASH program?
You see, I haven't even seen my car in person. I am flying back to the USA in 3 days to go get her! Its been setting at my best friends house since we bought it.

actually stationary rev limiter will only work in first gear with the clutch pressed with no forward momentum. its part of the 2 step, thats why you have that plug by the clutch pedal, the clutch has to be pressed, with it in first gear.

im actually able to engage the stationary rev limiter in neutral as well...with the clutch pressed...but having experience as a valet attendant...i'd say move all your limiters to 2k and you should be good...the only thing that they could do is crash the car(run it up a curb/hit another car/or open the door to only hit another!!!)

LOL unfortunately thats what we military have to deal with when shipping our cars overseas. You can only take precautions and hope for the best.

just adjust the speed limit to 35mph and or the rev limiter at 3000rpm. I think its quite simple...
