I only drive in 3rd gear

Cause the freakin car tunes itself differently in every gear and I'm starting to get really sick of it.

So the issue:
I tune in 3rd gear.
4th gear is richer
5th gear is richer than 4th

2nd gear is leaner.

I know this has been discussed before, but does anyone have any idea how to remedy this at all?

I thought perhaps it had to do with acceleration enrichment so I tried to equalize them out some. No luck.

Yeah, so I decided if I can't run a consistent AF ratio in other gears, I'm just going to tune my 3rd gear and never use any others. I'll start in 3rd, I'll reverse in 3rd.

Your load changes the higher the gear. One way to tune this out a bit is to make sure your fueling in the higher loads is the same as the load you hit in 3rd gear.

There are a couple different schools of thought on if this is a good way to do it however.

Same calculated load cells.

I'm in the same boat. Not sure if theres anything we can do to remedy it =\. My 4th gear is usually filthy rich.. while in the same load cells as 3rd.

Rows labelled "Close" mean that the calculated load is within 3 units of each other.
It is more pronounced at higher RPM's.

I feel you brother, sorry to hear that.
You're back in the game for some nylon/feet hunting!

Hope everything works out for you, hang it there.

I don't have much knowledge on ECUflash, can't help you there sorry

I like your signature...I hope you are not busting... j/k

My understanding is that the car runs a tad richer in the higher gears because the ECU has more time to respond to load changes...I believe Ivey and/or Jestr posted about this awhile ago....I still think most are running way too rich on this site, but that is a whole different subject.

I'll PM you my AFRs in a week. Good luck

Have you tried putting the higher load fuel settings to the same as you have them in the load column you are hitting in 3rd gear.

Sometimes evoscan isn't the gospel.
