No. That's what's also great about this. All I had to do was download my oem map from my ecu via a laptop and the tactrix cable and then emailed it to jestr tuning along with a paypal payment of EXACTLY $52 and the very next day I got my new improved map emailed back to me and within a few minutes it was already flashed to my ecu via the laptop and tactrix cable again and running after I removed one of the restrictor pills. Night and day difference. passing in 6th gear at about 3krpm or 70mph? all you need to do is give it a little gas and you'll be more than up to speed in no time. You won't be disappointed. Can't think of a cheaper and more efficient power mod. Mind you this is a bone stock IX MR.

 

Considering this is in the ECUflash section, I HIGHLY doubt he mailed in his ECU.
