How would I tune my evo8 acc. to 3037 turbo kit?

Hello all,

I'm very new in tuning and try to tune my edm evo8 with a hks 3037 turbo kit. I'm waiting my 800cc enjectors but while waiting I try to tune my ecu with the standart enjectors. You may be fed up with such questions that I'm going to ask but I searched forums but couldnt find an answer that satisfies me.. So, please helpp

I'm trying to tune my rom with 1.0 bar (200 load) I limited ith with EVC ez, because I dont want to take a big risk. My question is, after 2500 rpm (I'm using innovate lc-1 and openport) my afr decreases to 12.0 afr even if I've leaned that column several times.

So, do I have to lean it to 14-15's, and does it damage my engine? Or do I have to tune maf scaling or maf smoothing tables, which I dont know the logic of both? (what does load units and g\s represent and how would I tune them according to 3037 turbo kit?)

Your help will be appreciated because I dont know what to do.. Below, you can see my map data and road data in 200 load. Idont have a problem after 3500 rpm. By the way my boost spools in 3000 rpm to 3500 to 0.5 bar, then from 3500 to 4000 it spools to 1 bar and continue like that..

rpm map road
2000 12.8 12.7
2500 13.0 13.2
3000 13.1 12.0
3500 11.2 11.7
4000 8.7 11.0
4500 9.2 11.1
5000 9.5 11.0
5500 10.3 10.9
6000 10.3 10.9
6500 10.1 10.8
7000 10.1 10.8
7500 10.0 10.7

Thank you for even reading it and I'm looking forward to seeing your reply..

the post of your AFR's looks ok. For open loop (WOT) fueling your AFR's should be between 11.1 - 11.5. Only your closed loop (cruising) should be at 14.7. I hope your not trying to lean your WOT to 14.7.

You may have to later rescale your load columns but I dont see an intake on your mod list so you probably will not have to rescale your MAF table.

Thank you for replying

I took that log in 4th gear and from 2000 rpm. I try to tune 1000 to 3500 rpm range to 13.5 afr. Is doesnt seem o.k that the afr decreases that much.. Is it o.k to you? I've attached my log screen below.. I'm waiting for your comment..
Thanks

No I didnt try to change my closed loop.. I took that log in 4th gear and from 2000 rpm with WOT.

I'm using 3037 turbo kit and also using a custom made inlet pipe with hks mega flow intake with standart maf sensor.
I've attached my afr screen below

If you want to spool leaner you will just have to lean those load cells more. It's possible that the cells that you are modifying are not the cells that the car is running in. Do you have EvoScan or Mitsulogger? Do a few pulls with one of those and post the logs.

Here are some threads that might help you out.

Some of the other guys will be able to help you with your logworks logs, I've never used it so I was not able to determine which load cells exactly the car your car is operating in. Unfortunatly I'm also unable to determine the problem you are describing with evoscan - .97, maybe someone else will recognize the problem your having with it. Most of the time the problems with evoscan are with the version of .net framework.
