Raising Boost Levels

I'm still new to ECUFLASH but I've been looking through the various tables attempting to become more familiar with their function(s). Right now I have a WORKS P2R flash and I think it may be possible to raise the boost a little bit because the map I purchased was for 91 octane and I'm running 95 octane. I have MitsuLogger and also recently ordered a Zetronix wideband but haven't installed it yet.

My guess, most likely flawed, says I should be able to adjust the #2 Wastegate duty cycle slowly to achieve a higher boost as long as I watch my knock count. On another note I'm guessing I wouldn't have to adjust my a/f ratio or timing because the load would be raised by raising the boost causing the a/f ratio and timing to change appropriately with the higher boost..correct?

...need input!!

when you increase boost, you should recheck your AFR, depending on how works set up the fuel map, since its a general flash they should have the fuel map made for different levels of boost (still staying fairly close to stock though I assume), a small increase 1 maybe 2 psi shouldnt make too much of a difference, but since you have the wideband throw that bastard on and go from there.

if you want to raise boost, I would suggest getting a hallman boost controller or any one you prefere, electronic manual. That way you can get a more constant boost, better to have constant boost then increase it from there instead of increasing boost with spikes.

if you set up ECU boost correctly it will work better than a MBC with full closed-loop over and underboost correction built in, why downgrade when he has what he needs already?

On a car without an upgraded pill, yes, getting a MBC is easier to dial in, but since he has the works boost hose, he already has the different boost pill to dial boost in, now he just needs to get it working correctly through the ECU.

To the OP, listen to razorlab. He really knows how to set up the boost with the ECU and a smaller pill. He helped me do mine and I am now a believer in ECU boost control

I am looking forward to tuning my IX with Ecuflash and using the ECU to control boost.

All I need is for someone to tell me for CERTAIN which high octane ignition map the IX uses
